2017 - 2d collage - 13 h x 13 w - printed-paper and cardboard - unframed
This collage is part of a body of work inspired by a series of vintage mugshots.
My work explores the constant change of our identity, its destruction and re-construction through portraiture using, as a medium, everyday-discarded materials such as printed-paper recycled from magazines, leaflets and catalogs.
People in these mugshots are divorced from their context and inserted in a new one that (maybe) represents their way of thinking, allowing us to imagine the 'pattern' of their thoughts or forcing us to confront their humanity.
One piece. Unframed. FREE SHIPPING
